- All ORTHOPAEDIC & SPORTS MEDICINE DOCTOR appointments must be made by contacting our front desk on 292-6901 or emailing info@csom.bm
Appointment Duration
Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine Physician appointments are 30 minutes in length, exceptions to this may be arranged with your practitioner if they feel you will benefit from a longer treatment session. Patients are not able to book longer appointments without the practitioner’s approval.
First time Osteopath appointments are 45 minutes in length and subsequent appointments will be 30 minutes unless longer is requested by the client. Pilates and Fascial Stretch Therapy appointments are usually 50 minutes, however follow-up appointments can be 30 minutes if desired.
Bill Payment
Bill payment and the settling of accounts can be done using your credit or debit card (Mastercard or Visa only) either in-person or over the phone.
HSBC customers can pay online using ‘Bill Payment’ (where the online form requests the account details, it will be your Chart Number which is on the top right-hand side of your invoice – the first 3 letters of your last name and the first 2 letters of your first name, followed by a number).
Bank of Butterfield patients are asked to call our office (292-6901 ext 1) and pay using a credit card or to come in-person to pay with cash.
Cancellation Policy
Our goal is to provide quality health care to all our patients in a timely manner. No-shows, late arrivals, and late cancellations inconvenience not only our providers, but our other patients as well.
When you book your appointment, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other patients. In order to be respectful of your health care provider and your fellow patients, please call 292-6901 as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment.
If you need to cancel your appointment, we require that you call at least 24 hours in advance.
Clothes
What do I need to wear for my Doctor, Physiotherapy or Osteopathy appointment?
We recommend wearing clothing that allows your doctor or therapist to reach the area you are concerned with, e.g. shorts are recommended for leg issues. It is also advisable that you wear clothes you are comfortable to move around in as your practioner may need to see your body in motion.
What do I need to wear for my Fascial Stretch Therapy or Pilates appointments?
Socks are required and clothes that are stretchy and comfortable to move in are recommended for FST sessions with M’Lynn. Pilates is an exercise program so your normal work-out clothes would be perfect.
Insurance
Following your appointment, CSOM will submit a claim to your local insurance company on your behalf. Any fees not covered by the insurance company is the patient’s responsibility (your co-pay amount and/or any fees the insurance company later informs us they are not reimbursing). Co-pays are to be paid immediately following your appointment.
If you have overseas health insurance, you will be billed the full amount for the visit and be given a receipt which you can then submit to your insurance company. CSOM does not currently submit claims to overseas insurance companies.
Treatments not currently covered by insurance are as follows: PRP therapy, PRP Facials, Shockwave therapy, Pilates and Fascial Stretch Therapy. Please email us at info@csom.bm for further information on these treatments.
Late Cancellations/No-Shows
A cancellation is considered late when the appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours before the appointed time. A no-show is when a patient misses an appointment without cancelling. In either case, we will charge the patient a $55 missed appointment fee.
New Clients
CSOM is always happy to see new clients, we ask that you call our clinic on 292-6901 and speak with our front desk staff who can assist you with setting up accounts and appointments.
Referrals Policy
CSOM welcomes referrals from all health care professionals, the more information our practitioners have on their patients’ past treatment, the better. However, a referral is not necessary as patients are also able to ‘self-refer’.
We think we have covered everything above but if not, please do not hesitate to call us on 292-6901 or email info@csom.bm
